Well it looks like the lost ducks have finally figured out what the little “N” on the compass means. C-FIGT is finally turned around and headed home. Please leave your comments by clicking the “comments” button at the bottom of the posting.

Ducks: Congratulations!A tremendous adventure that we enjoyed following and often worried about when the flight ended somewhere at 10000 plus and according to google not near an airport. Our roasted duck at Christmas will have more meaning to us this year. Merry Christmas to all and safe travel to you. Icebreaker
My wings are tired, sure glad you landed safely, what an adventure, talk to you later Barb. Ma and Pa
It may not have been as exciting for us as it was for you but it was fantastic to be able to follow along. Thanks John, Barb and Harold for setting up the computer sites that allowed us to follow along with you. It made it a lot easier on those of us left behind. Lorne, it's good to know you will be home for Christmas - I was wondering a couple of times if you'd make it - please check your sat phone for messages. Merry Christmas to everyone. Frankie
P.S. - Though Lorne may tell you otherwise, the nickname is because I collect dragons.
About that little red plane hanging at 10000 feet and 35 miles short of the destination. Globalstar the satallite phone company who's network the tracking device uses will actually not be supporting these devices in South America until mid-January. They told us we might get some coverage south of the equator when at cruise altitude before Jan 15 when high enough the device would be picked up by satallites in a northern orbit. We were actually surprised that tracking worked as far south as it did.
Lorne, I thought I might have a shuttle ride home for you on Friday when Bill takes his ferry pilot back to Calgary but I guess the 182T is arriving Wed night and goes to Calgary on Thursday. I guess its a bus from Edmonton!Robin.
